Senior home care service can be provided by Visiting Angels within a 48-hour period from initial contact and scheduling changes are easily accomplished with as little as a 24-hour notice.

All holidays are billed at time-and-one-half the regular scheduled rate. The following events fall under the holiday rate structure: New Years Eve and Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas & Christmas Eve.

How Do You Afford The Care They Need?

Since home care services are non-medical, they currently are not covered by Medicare. Home care services are generally paid individually or by long term care insurance. Often, funds are available from associations for care for their members who are afflicted with a specific disease. An excellent resource is the reverse mortgage. It allows your loved one access to funds from their home equity without touching their income producing investments. You may also consider discussing your options with a Geriatric Care Manager and, of course, a Living Assistance Specialist at Visiting Angels.
